Everything Must Go - and you can get yourself on the telly! - 24 October 2002
There is a massive house clearance sale happening
in Brixton Hill on 24th October - and if you go, you might just
get yourself on the telly! The sale takes place on Morrish Road - basically, the contents of the house must go - and ITV will be filming the whole thing for a future broadcast later this year.
This sale will appeal to anyone looking for vintage music magazines and music collectibles of every genre, costume jewellery, posters, vintage clothes and accessories, books that kind of thing - and makes a great place for early unusual Xmas ideas.
It's all gotta go - and you've got between 3.30pm and 6pm to get in there and grab your goods.
For more information on exactly where on Morrish Road it's taking place, or for further details of the sale, send an email to ninjagirl51@hotmail.com Brixton Village Market
Who needs the West End? The former Granville Arcade
is now Brixton Village Market and has been transformed into a bright,
vibrant and thriving place to do your shopping.
You'll find produce, organic goods, arts, crafts, fashion and gifts, while maintaining its multicultural identity - everything you need for a good Xmas shop! And if you get tired, there's some excellent cafes where you can have a drink and take a breather. Soon, artwork by a local artist, will be erected above the main Coldharbour Lane entrance.
It's all there on your doorstep so make use of your local market!
